Donate to DGMC!

When the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus (DGMC) was established in 1982, its name alone was a political statement. Since then it has responded through music to the Aids Crisis, Colorado Amendment 2, and the Pulse Nightclub shooting, among other events. With their performances, DGMC chorus members foster acceptance, tolerance, and diversity and enrich the cultural life of the metro area. At the same time, they are a messenger for social justice and change. They are not all serious though! DGMC singers are just as comfortable camping it up with costumes, dance, and tongue in cheek humor as they are passionate about their commitment to the rights of LGBTQ people and other marginalized communities.

You are probably familiar with the chorus season’s events, particularly the holiday and Pride concerts. Did you know that DGMC chorus members regularly provide community outreach to high schools? They use their music and their personal experiences to address bullying.

When you make a donation to Denver Gay Men’s Chorus you are contributing to the following:

  • Transforming what it means to be a 21st century chorus

  • A pivotal voice for LGBTQ and marginalized communities, providing entertaining performances while advocating for inclusivity and social justice for all

  • An opportunity to deepen relationships with social justice organizations

  • Collaborations with arts groups, visual artists, writers, and musicians that are diverse community centric in Colorado

  • Outreach appearances in middle/high schools to address bullying

  • Touring rural Colorado where communities may have less exposure to LGBTQ groups.

  • Access to the arts for underserved and diverse communities through ticket underwriting

  • Commissioning composers from marginalized communities for new works

Denver Gay Men’s Chorus tickets sales cover 40% of its annual costs. Your donation will directly support the artistic staff, rehearsal and production costs, community outreach, and, most importantly, the longevity of a national movement and a regional treasure.
