Denver Women’s Chorus is much more than a LGBTQ community chorus; it is the heart and soul of inclusivity where women of all ages and backgrounds, lesbian, straight, trans, and gender fluid come together to give voice to the power of women and others that have been marginalized throughout history. The Denver Women’s Chorus intentionally chose its name so all participants would feel welcome in this safe and affirming community. Together, chorus members fight for social justice through artistic expression and excellence. By exploring and validating each woman’s unique attributes, they become an even bigger and more impactful force for understanding and acceptance in the Denver metro community and across Colorado.

When you make a donation to Denver Women’s Chorus you are contributing to the following:

  • the power of LGBTQ voices at the forefront of change
  • a safe and affirming community for lesbians, feminists, and allies
  • artistic expression and excellence in music, including commissions from female composers
  • awareness of women’s herstory and the continuing social justice issues faced by women and other marginalized groups
  • the capacity to reach more people who believe in the power of music and whose lives will be forever changed by their participation
  • the capability to perform and interact with the larger Denver metro and Colorado community to entertain, educate, empower, and inspire

Denver Women’s Chorus tickets sales cover 30% of its annual costs. Your donation will directly support the artistic staff, rehearsal and production costs, community outreach, and, most importantly, the longevity of a national movement and a regional treasure.
